Existing Home Sales Report: July 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for July showing an increase in sales with total home sales climbing a whopping 6.5% since June and rising 17.2% above the level seen in July 2012.

Single family home sales also rose climbing a notable 6.3% from June and rising 16.4% above the level seen in July 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 13.5% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from June to 2.00 million units but still remained 3.8% below the level seen in July 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 5.0 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: June 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for June showing a decline in sales with total home sales sliding 1.2% since May but climbing 15.2% above the level seen in June 2012.

Single family home sales also declined falling 1.1% from May but still rising 14.5% above the level seen in June 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 10.5% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from May to 1.96 million units but still remained 6.7% below the level seen in June 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 5.2 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: May 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for May showing an increase in sales with total home sales rising a notable 4.2% since April and climbing 12.9% above the level seen in May 2012.

Single family home sales also improved climbing a whopping 5.0% from April and rising 12.7% above the level seen in May 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 15.8% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from April to 1.98 million units but still remained 9.2% below the level seen in May 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 5.2 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: April 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for April showing an increase in sales with total home sales rising 0.6% since March and climbing 9.7% above the level seen in April 2012.

Single family home sales also improved climbing 1.2% from March rising 9.0% above the level seen in April 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 11% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from March to 1.92 million units but still remained 11.9% below the level seen in April 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 5.3 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: March 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for March showing a decrease in sales with total home sales declining 0.6% since February but still climbing 10.3% above the level seen in March 2012.

Single family home sales also declined falling 0.2% from February but still rose 9.1% above the level seen in March 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 12.1% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from February to 1.69 million units dropping 16.3% below the level seen in March 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 4.7 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: February 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for February showing an increase in sales with total home sales rising 0.8% since January climbing 10.2% above the level seen in February 2012.

Single family home sales, on the other hand, declined falling 0.2% from January but still rose 8.7% above the level seen in February 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 11.3% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes increased from January to 1.68 million units dropping 19.2% below the level seen in February 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 4.6 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: January 2013

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for January showing a slight monthly improvement in sales with total home sales climbing 0.4% since December and climbing 9.1% above the level seen in January 2012.

Single family home sales also improved slightly rising 0.2% from December and still rising 8.5% above the level seen in January 2012 while the median selling price increased a notable 12.6% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes declined notably from December to 1.55 million units dropping 25.5% below the level seen in January 2012 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 4.3 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: December 2012

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for December showing a decrease in sales with total home sales dropping 1.0% since November but climbing 12.8% above the level seen in December 2011.

Single family home sales also declined falling 1.4% from November but still rising 11.5% above the level seen in December 2011 while the median selling price increased a notable 10.9% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes declined notably from November to 1.60 million units dropping 21.2% below the level seen in December 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 4.4 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: October 2012

Yesterday, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for October showing a increase in sales with total home sales rising 2.1% since September and climbing 10.9% above the level seen in October 2011.

Single family home sales also rose climbing 1.9% from September rising 9.6% above the level seen in October 2011 while the median selling price declined slightly on the month but increased 10.9% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes went flat from September at 1.89 million units dropping 20.9% below the level seen in October 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a fairly balanced monthly supply of 5.4 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: September 2012

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for September showing a decline in sales with total home sales falling 1.7% since August but still rising 11% above the level seen in September 2011.

Single family home sales also declined dropping 1.9% from August but still rising 10.8% above the level seen in September 2011 while the median selling price declined slightly on the month but increased 11.4% above the level seen a year earlier.

Inventory of single family homes declined 4.2% from August dropping 18.1% below the level seen in
September 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a fairly balanced monthly supply of 5.8 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: August 2012

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for August showing a notable increase in sales with total home sales climbing 7.8% since July rising 9.3% above the level seen in August 2011.

Single family home sales also improved rising 8.0% from July and 10.0% above the level seen in August 2011 while the median selling price went flat on the month but increased 10.2% above the level seen in August 2011.

Inventory of single family homes increased 6.3% from July dropping 16.3% below the level seen in
August 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a fairly balanced monthly supply of 6.2 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: April 2012

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for April  showing an increase in sales with total home sales climbing 3.4% since March rising 10% above the level seen in April 2011.

Single family home sales also improved rising 3.0% from March and 9.9% above the level seen in April 2011 while the median selling price increased 10.4% above the level seen in April 2011.

Inventory of single family homes increased 10.9% from March dropping 18.8% below the level seen in
April 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 6.6 months.

Existing Home Sales Report: March 2012

Today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their Existing Home Sales Report for March  showing an decline in sales with total home sales falling 2.6% since February but climbing 5.2% above the level seen in March 2011.

Single family home sales declined 2.5% from February but rose 5.9% above the level seen in March 2011 while the median selling price increased 1.9% above the level seen in March 2011.

Inventory of single family homes increased 0.5% from February dropping 20.1% below the level seen in March 2011 which, along with the sales pace, resulted in a monthly supply of 6.3 months.
