New Home Sales: July 2013

Last week, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for July showing a notable pullback with sales falling a whopping 13.41% from June and rising just 6.78% above the level seen in July 2012 remaining at an historically low level of 394K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to be mounting as unsold units totaled 171K, still though near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale declined to 3.5.

The monthly supply increased to 5.2 months while the median selling price increased 8.34% and the average selling price increased 14.31% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: May 2013

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for May showing a improvement with sales climbing a notable 8.3% from April and rising 38.1% above the level seen in May 2012 but still remaining at an historically low level of 497K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to be mounting as unsold units totaled 161K, still though near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale decreased to 3.9.

The monthly supply declined to 3.9 months while the median selling price increased 7.35% and the average selling price increased 8.54% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: April 2013

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for April showing a improvement with sales climbing 2.25% from March and rising 28.98% above the level seen in April 2012 but still remaining at an historically low level of 454K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to be mounting as unsold units totaled 156K, still though near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale increased to 4.0.

The monthly supply went flat at 4.1 months while the median selling price increased 14.89% and the average selling price increased 14.90% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: March 2013

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for March showing a improvement with sales climbing 1.5% from February and rising 18.5% above the level seen in March 2012 but still remaining at an historically low level of 417K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to be mounting as unsold units totaled 153K, still though near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale went flat at 5.0.

The monthly supply went flat at 4.4 months while the median selling price increased 3.0% and the average selling price declined 1.3% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: February 2013

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for February showing a notable monthly decline with sales falling 4.6% from January but rising 12.3% above the level seen in February 2012 but still remaining at an historically low level of 411K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to be mounting as unsold units totaled 152K, still though near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale rose to 5.0.

The monthly supply increased to 4.4 months while the median selling price increased 2.88% and the average selling price increased 14.49% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: January 2013

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for January showing a notable monthly increase with sales rising 15.6% since December and rising 28.9% above the level seen in January 2012 but remaining at an historically low level of 437K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to now be bouncing around a very low 150K units, near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale has worsened slightly to 4.7.

The monthly supply dropped to 4.1 months while the median selling price increased 2.12% and the average selling price increased 7.75% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: December 2012

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for December showing a notable monthly decline with sales falling 7.3% since November but rising 8.8% above the level seen in December 2011 and remaining at an historically low level of 369K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to now be bouncing around a very low 151K units, near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale has improved to 4.6.

The monthly supply increased to 4.9 months while the median selling price increased 13.86% and the average selling price increased 15.63% from the year ago level.

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for October showing a slight monthly decline with sales falling 0.3% since September but rising 17.2% above the level seen in October 2011 though remaining at an historically low level of 368K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to now be bouncing around a very low 147K units, near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale has improved to 5.9.

The monthly supply increased to 4.8 months while the median selling price increased 5.74% and the average selling price increased 7.89% from the year ago level.

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for September showing a notable monthly improvement with sales climbing 5.7% since August and rising 27.1% above the level seen in September 2011 though remaining at an historically low level of 389K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes appears to now be bouncing around a very low 145K units, near the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale has improved to 6.5.

The monthly supply declined to 4.5 months while the median selling price increased 11.71% and the average selling price increased 14.49% from the year ago level.

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for August showing a slight monthly decline with sales dropping 0.3% since July but rising 27.7% above the level seen in August 2011 and remaining at an historically low level of 373K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes has now fallen to a new series low at 141K units, lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale increased to 8.3.

The monthly supply went flat at 4.5 months while the median selling price increased 16.99% and the average selling price increased 13.88% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: May 2012

Recently, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for May showing a notable monthly increase with sales climbing 7.6% since April and rising 19.8% above the level seen in May 2011 but remaining at an historically low level of 369K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes remained near the low for the series at 145K units, nearly the lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale went flat at 7.9.

The monthly supply declined to 4.7 months while the median selling price increased 5.63% and the average selling price increased 4.26% from the year ago level.

Yesterday, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for March showing a notable monthly decline with sales dropping 7.1% since February but rising 7.5% above the level seen in March 2011 and remaining at an historically low level of 328K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes has now fallen to a new series low at 144K units, lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale increased to 7.8.

The monthly supply increased to 5.3 months while the median selling price increased 6.35% and the average selling price increased 11.66% from the year ago level.

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for February showing a monthly decline with sales dropping 1.57% since January but rising 11.4% above the level seen in February 2011 and remaining at an historically low level of 313K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes has now fallen to a new series low at 150K units, lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale increased to 7.6.

The monthly supply increased to 5.8 months while the median selling price increased 6.17% and the average selling price declined 5.11% from the year ago level.

The monthly supply declined to 5.6 months while the median selling price declined 9.57% and the average selling price declined 5.11% from the year ago level.

New Home Sales: December 2011

Today, the U.S. Census Department released its monthly New Residential Home Sales Report for December showing a notable monthly decline with sales dropping 2.2% since November and 7.3% below the level seen in December 2010 and remaining at an epically low level of 307K SAAR units.

It's important to recognize that the inventory of new homes has now fallen to a new series low at 157K units, lowest level seen in in at least 47 years while the median number of months for sale declined to 6.7.

The monthly supply remained declined to 6.1 months while the median selling price declined 12.81% and the average selling price declined 8.81% from the year ago level.
